I not so good with the location of the different american states. But it seems that N. Carolina is one of the very eastern states...nice beach! Or is it one of the lakes close to Canada??
In Denmark, the longest ride to any beach is about 50 kilometers :-) But did I go this summer? Nooo! Lacy boy!

N. Carolina is on the east coast of the US. The Atlantic Ocean.
It's not close to Canada at all.
If you were in New York City and wanted to go to Miami Florida, well N. Carolina would be about 1/2 way! There is your US Geography lesson for the day ;o) The US STILL hasn't gone metric, so how far is 50 kilometers?? I am only about 45 minutes away from the coast and have many friends at carolina beach, so I am there quite often. The ocean keeps me sane!
